Best Base Layouts in Steal a Brainrot

A good base layout is designed to cause maximum pain for thieves. This means forcing awkward movement, creating choke points, and making high-value Brainrots risky to reach.
- High-value units should be placed furthest from entrances.
- Decoy Brainrots should be placed early in the base.
- Best Brainrots should go on the 3rd floor.
- Traps should cover predictable jump or landing spots.
Base Spawn Order Explained
Understanding base spawn order is critical for designing an effective base in Steal a Brainrot. Brainrots do not spawn randomly, they fill base slots in a fixed, predictable order across all floors.
Bases have a maximum of three floors. The first floor has 10 slots, while the second and third floors each have 8 slots. When you add a Brainrot to your base, slots fill in this exact order:
- First floor โ second floor โ third floor
- Front to back on each floor
- Left to right
- Clockwise within each floor
Because of this fixed order, the earliest slots are always the most exposed. Brainrots placed first will be encountered by thieves before later slots, regardless of value.
For example, if your base has all three floors unlocked, your 10th Brainrot will still be on the first floor, while your 11th Brainrot becomes the first unit on the second floor. The 27th Brainrot will be placed on the final slot of the third floor.

- Place sentries to cover steal routes.
- Use Subspace Mines near exits and drops.
- Position lock buttons where you can reach them instantly.
- Pair vertical bases with knockback gear.
How Rebirth Progression Affects Bases

Rebirthing unlocks additional base floors, extra slots, longer lock times, and stronger defensive setups. Higher rebirth levels allow for more complex layouts and better protection for high-value Brainrots.
Check this guide whenever you unlock a new floor, base skin, or defensive tool. A well-designed base can save hours of grinding by preventing steals before they happen.
